Leadership Series for the CNA Preceptor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

At the CNA Preceptor level, this course aims to improve upon and capitalize on the strengths that each student possesses. The program will focus on the development of leadership and mentoring skills necessary to train new or new-to-the-facility nursing team members. These experienced healthcare providers (CNAs) will be empowered to contribute positively to mentoring new CNA students and\/or new employees by adapting to a culture of accountability and developing their own leadership skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insulin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The Insulin course prepares medication technicians in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or intermediate care facility (ICF), or medication aides in a residential care facility (RCF) or an assisted living facility (ALF) to administer insulin. The program presents information on diabetes as it relates to symptoms and implications of proper or improper treatment and teaches skills in insulin administration. This program meets the requirements of the MO Department of Health & Senior Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The American Heart Association\u2019s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The course is based on the latest science-based guidance from the American Heart Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
